What a year! We served 73 incredible families, including 238 individuals. Of those, 137 were children.
Many of our program guests found us because of declines in affordable housing. In 2014, unemployment was the biggest factor for families, but last year, housing took center state.
The largest percentage of guests – 33% – were displaced or unable to afford the cost of their apartment or mortgage. Because of that, we saw an 18% drop in families coming from their own home. Many guests arrived at Family Promise after living in a motel, with friends and relatives or staying in another shelter.
