Mary recently retired after serving as a Colorado teacher for 30 years – 23 years in special education at the high school level and seven years as an elementary school teacher and librarian.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences, master’s degrees in rehabilitation counseling and educationally handicapped from the University of Northern Colorado, and a third master’s in information literacy from the University of Colorado Denver.
Mary is a third-generation Colorado native and loves the outdoors! She’s passionate about traveling and knitting, but also loves to volunteer – donating her time to Community Purls, Collier Hospice Center and DenverWorks.
