Families arrive at Family Promise in crisis. FPGD aims to form relationships with each family by providing a spectrum of supportive services as they obtain stability. Our 4 programs offer different interventions, based off each family’s housing needs.
We focus on stable housing, employment and savings. By combining these three pillars of long - term stability with supportive programs such as rental assistance, extended case management, community mentors and other supports, we aim to end homelessness, one family at a time.

Prevention and Rehousing
One time rental assistance to prevent an episode of homelessness or help with move-in costs is offered to families transitioning out of homelessness. We also provide “light touch” case management to connect families to other resources, as needed.
24 communities of faith provide nightly shelter to families. Each location is staffed by trained volunteers with 24-hour support from Family Promise staff. Families have their own private space, 3 meals a day, and receive case management focusing on stable housing, employment, and savings.
Short term and quick intervention to prevent families’ need for emergency shelter. We help families identify immediate alternative housing arrangements, and when necessary, connect them with services and financial assistance to aid in their return to permanent housing.
Post shelter support is offered to ensure families continue to have a steady support system as they sustain housing. This program includes rental assistance, Tenant Base Rental Assistance (TBRA), and the Compadres mentor program. We aim to ensure families sustain long term housing.
